Rylie Monahan '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Rylie and I am 16 years old.  I will graduate with the class of 2024 at Helix Charter High School. I am a TopDrawerSoccer regionally ranked player in Southern California and made ECNL All-Conference 2nd Team Southwest Division for 2021 with my club SD Surf ECNL. I’m a versatile player who can play different positions around the field with my preference playing in the backline.  I’m very  composed when building up from the back leading up to the attack. I like to be very positive and encouraging on the field. I am a very competitive player who lives for big games and tough competition.  I have a strong soccer IQ level, which allows me to demonstrate a high level of tactical awareness on the field. I am a physical player with good technical ability, specifically my touch, my passing, and aerial headers.

My goal is to play the highest level of collegiate soccer at a school that has a record of tradition and culture. I would like to continue my soccer development with a strong soccer program. Post collegiately, I would like to pursue a pro soccer path. For academics, I am interested in a school that offers pre-med/nursing programs.  I take pride and passion in my academics and learning in the classroom and on the soccer field. I am willing to be a student of the game in continuing to further my skills and knowledge of the tactical game.  

My team qualified for the 2022 ECNL National playoffs in Washington and we ended our season as quarter finalists.
