Personal Statement
Ever since I was a child, my dream has been to make a difference in the world by helping others. Another very important aspect of my life is playing soccer. I believe these two goals go hand in hand because the purpose of soccer is to be a team, one unit, where everyone works together to achieve a common goal of winning. This has impacted my life so much that I chose my high school based on a program that I am part of that is called PEACE which focuses on social justice, leadership, ethics and empowerment.
I have played club soccer for nine years and am excited about playing my last year of club soccer. I am an excellent student who strives to achieve the most that I can out of my education. I maintain a 4.17 GPA and hope to wear a golden robe at graduation. Along with graduating with a 4.0, my other goal is to earn a 500+ service hours medallion. I am already 2/3 of the way there due to my various volunteering activities. I spent the previous summers volunteering as a camp counselor for a Parks and Rec camp with kids ages 5-12. I am also involved in extra-curricular school activities and clubs. I am part of ASB/Student Council, the Female Leadership Academy and the FOCUS program which focuses on giving back to the community.
I plan to consider colleges that are a good match for me in both academics and athletics.
