Soccer is more than a sport to me. Yes, it is about performance, hard work, and teamwork. However, I have been playing this game since I was 3 years old, and in that time I have learned about my self on a deeper level; additionally, I have discovered that soccer is about commitment, motivation, compassion, and drive. It is an outlet that can be used to grow both athletically and personally, making me strive to be a better player, teammate, and human being. This is a beautiful aspect of the game and the reason for my love toward it; a mindset I look forward to carrying out in my future college soccer career.
