I love soccer because of the discipline it requires to master a craft - daily team practices, extra strength training, waking up at 5am to drive 3 hours for a game, and playing back to back games on a hot or cold day.
I love soccer because of the competition - playing teams from different parts of the country, playing against great players, winning with grace, and losing with dignity.
I love soccer because of my teammates and coaches - spending countless hours in practice, conversations about soccer, life and everything under the sun during rides to and from games, and building life long relationships that will go beyond our time on the pitch.
I love soccer because if you respect the game - it will shape your work ethic, build your character and teach you invaluable life lessons.
My name is Madeline Park, class of 2025 at Chadwick School in California. My primary position is Center Back for FRAM's Girls Academy team. I can also play Outside Back and at Chadwick, I was the starting Forward on the varsity soccer team. In previous seasons, I played for Beach FC and LA Galaxy in their top divisions of Flight 1, DPL and GA teams.
I am a tenacious defender with quickness and speed that allow me to cover a large portion of the field. I have high soccer IQ and can see a play develop anticipating my opponent's strategy to put myself and my teammates in the right position. I am very coachable and will do everything to prepare myself to be the best player I can be and to make my teammates better.
