Katy Beck '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello - My name is Katy Beck. I started playing soccer when I was 7 because my parents said I should try sports to get my energy out. After my first practice, I knew soccer was the sport I wanted to pursue. I tried out for a boys team when I was 9, and was told I wasn't good enough to make the team. However, I worked through adversity and was asked to join the boy's team a year later. I work hard to become a role model for the younger players I work with. I feel that I am a versatile player because I will play wherever needed, in the goal or on the field. Through my years playing soccer I have learned teamwork, sportsmanship, responsibility, respect, commitment, leadership, patience, and resilience. 

Academically, I want to study to be a doctor. This year as an 12th grader (24-245), I am taking 1 Honors class and 1 AP class and as well as currently being a dual enrollment student at my local college. I am also taking Medical Assisting at Serrano. I plan to continue to commit to my studies and maintain a 4.0+ GPA. I want a school that I can grow and thrive at academically and athletically. I would be a great candidate for your program because I am dedicated, passionate, honest, and have a great work ethic.
