Soccer has been a key factor in my life since I was 5 years old. As a person It has taught me resilience, failure and recovery, goal setting and execution, celebration of success. I have had many ups and downs along my journey and have grown immensely as a result. On the field, coaches initially played me as a defender because of my height (5’11) and I later expanded to striker due to my left and right foot striking ability and attacking strength. On my current ECNL club and HS team I play attacking mid, as I have strong footskills as well as good vision of the game. Playing multiple positions has allowed me to be a versatile player and gain a strong understanding of the game.
On a social level, soccer has allowed me to meet, support, and be inspired and motivated by players on my teams and players at all levels and ages around the world. ECNL has allowed me to compete against players across the US, and this summer I played in the Gothia tournament in Sweden and played against players from around the globe! I am a bilingual dual national French/American and love to meet new people from different cultures. Soccer has opened these doors and I hope to travel again for soccer in the future.
For my life journey, soccer has uncovered an interest in sports medicine and desire to be associated with the support of athletes as a career. Over the summer I learned the muscles and supporting ligaments and look forward to furthering the study during the school year. My current high school focus is Math and Science, with academic excellence being my top priority. I look forward to continuing to grow as a student and player and am excited for the future!
