Alena Orosco '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alena Orosco. I’m 17 years old and a senior at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, CA.

I started playing soccer when I was 4 years old. I have wanted to play on a college team for as long as I can remember. Being on a team and having structure is really important to me. I’m happier with structure and teammates, more focused, and work harder knowing I’m part of something bigger than myself. I have excellent balll skills, I’m fast and competitive. As a club player, I have learned the importance of commitment, working together as a team, and staying focused. I work hard to be an asset to every team I join. I've been told that I'm very easy to coach. I have a good attitude and always respect my coaches and teammates. I am a hard worker athletically and academically, and I appreciate feedback that will help me improve. I’m hoping to be part of a team that will work together and bond well, with no drama.  

I’m looking for a college experience that will allow me to build lifelong friendships, challenge me academically, athletically, and personally and help me better understand my strengths so I can find a field of study that I can excel in. I’m leaning toward criminal justice policy but know I have a lot to learn.
