Coming from a large family has influenced my life in many ways. It taught me to be independent and assertive and communicate my needs, to have perseverance and stand out in a crowd and how be part of a successful team. I have always struggled academically and it has caused me to get down on myself, soccer provides me with something in my life that shows me that my dedication and perseverance pays off. My faith and soccer motivate me daily to find the grit to push through challenges. I say this quote from Michael Phelps daily “There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, there are no limits” This describes my philosophy in life including soccer and academics.
My strongest skills include my speed, grit and ability to see the field. I am a great team leader and always try to set an example for my peers, whether that be on or off the field. It is important to me that I always encourage and offer positive motivation to my teammates. My personality makes me very coachable, I thrive when I have constructive criticism that I can build on to me a better, stronger player. I am known for leaving 110% on the field and never giving up.
My academic goals include finding a college that will allow me to purse a career as a speech-language pathologist or registered nurse. I aspire to make connections with my teammates and have a have a supportive environment in which I can have a successful academic and athletic college experience. I am open to all options and ultimately I want to find the college that is the best fit for me. I aspire to become a successful student as well as athlete and a role model to all around me
