Hi, my name is Danielle Becerra.
I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old at my local rec league where I was the most determined and passionate player on the field attracting attention from every parent on the sidelines. After my first season, I tried other other sports but came back to soccer because I knew that was what I wanted to do. At the age of eleven, I joined Legends FC where my passion for soccer grew and became more evident. Later I joined Slammers FC where the competition grew and I had to learn to adapt to become successful. I strengthened my technical and tactical abilities by going to private training lessons before and after practice in which my coaches saw and admired the hard work I was putting in when no one was watching. My goal is to play college soccer, where I can continue to play and improve in the sport that I love. Through soccer, I have learned to be a team player, a hard worker, and a leader.
As well as playing soccer in club and high school, I have also joined track to enhance my speed which benefits me on the soccer field. I believe I would be an asset to a college soccer team because I have a good reading of the game and can slot the ball in great scoring opportunities for my team. I also have a positive attitude and am always looking for more ways to improve my game. In addition to my soccer abilities, my grades and involvement in the community advocate that I am very committed and hard-working. I am an Honor roll student, I was a part of CSF my sophomore year, and I have volunteered at Casa Colina Sports Medicine department as well as the Arrow Heart Foundation.
