Soccer has always been a huge part of my life. Since I was two and playing for a little recreational program called Kids Love Soccer, it has been something that I love to do whether it’s practicing to be my best on the field or moving the ball up the field in a tournament final. It’s definitely the thing I’m most passionate about. I strive to be my best every time the ball touches my foot. I love the rush of excitement when I’m on the field and the competitive side that takes over when I’m battling to win the ball or when I’m sprinting down the field to receive a pass. I joined a competitive team at age 7 and am still playing on my club’s first team. Being on a team from a young age not only helped me improve my soccer abilities but also improve life skills like leadership and cooperation which I use every time I am on the field with my teammates.
In may I graduated from eighth grade and am about to start my first year in high school. I have also started my 5th year with my current club. I am looking forward to playing on a high school team and the opportunity of playing with teammates and other high school players that are older, more experienced, and have different styles of play. I think playing amongst people who are older and have more experience will help me be a stronger player on the field.
