Hey Coach!
My name is Sophia Walden, Class of 2025 from Crawfordville, Florida. I fell in love with the game when I was 4 years old and never looked back. This game that we love has taught me the importance of hard work, mental toughness, teamwork, and communication. These lessons have helped to shape me, not only as a player, but as a person, sister, and friend.
I am committed to bringing my best every time I step onto the pitch, whether in practice or on game day, competing with growth in mind and seeking out ways to improve. Whether I am in the starting 11 or coming in off the bench, I believe that success on the field can only come from working together as a team. On the pitch I am a versatile defender, confident in all positions on the back line. I am also comfortable on the wing as well as in mid-field positions.
In the classroom, I maintain the same commitment to my studies holding a 3.75 GPA. In college I hope to pursue a degree in the medical field with focus on child life studies and psychology. I am looking for a school that has strong Academics and provides opportunities for their students to thrive with a solid women's soccer program that allows me to grow, not only as a player, but as a person. I believe that soccer and academics share a common objective: Teamwork. Success whether on the pitch or in the classroom can only be achieved when we respect each other and work together as a team.
