I have been passionate about soccer for the 14 years that I have played. My passion lies within the training components of the sport. Although I enjoy healthy competition on the pitch, there is a feeling of accomplishment gained when you know you have trained, practiced, weight lifted and mentally prepared yourself. I know that the preparation for a game begins with the athlete’s mental attitude before the game ever starts. I hold that mantra to heart, and live each day preparing myself for the pitch. I look forward to the challenge and thrill of being a college athlete, training and competing alongside other women who are this passionate as well.
A key element to maintaining a strong team dynamic between the players, is clear communication. I pride myself in having great communication skills. Both on and off the pitch it is vital for the team to be bonded as a unit, so that we can effectively do what we are there to do; win soccer games. In addition, academics is a vital component of a balanced college career. I am very serious about the classes I take and how well I perform in them. It is important to me to be successful in both academics and athletics.
It is my goal to become a college athlete at a Division I or II university. I am open to attending college in any state. I am looking for a well-rounded university who offers both a strong academic curriculum and a strong athletic program.
