Cameryn Grissman '23 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to play competitive soccer in college and majoring in health sciences. My mom is a nurse practitioner and owns her own company. So I hope someday to take over her company.  My mom was my coach for most of my youth years. She played soccer in college and always taught me that the most important part of being a great soccer player was being a great teammate. She always said she would take a hard working, respectful player any day over a selfish, athlete with an attitude. I have strived to be that great teammate on and off the field. I am humble and do not get involved in drama. I will always find the good in people.  I encourage teammates even if we are down. I always give it my all no matter what the score is. I am very coachable, and love to learn from my coaches. I know that I will bring all these aspiring characteristics to the next level in my college years to make my college years a successful experience. 

As a soccer player, I have a very good soccer I.Q and know where to position myself on the field. I may not be 6 feet tall, but can jump higher than most kids who are taller than me. I am very aggressive and can anticipate the play which gets me to the ball quicker than my opponent. 

In the classroom, I have all positive feedback from my teachers. Like soccer, I always try my best, work hard, respect my teachers and peers, and get good grades. My class sizes are small, and I enjoy working together as a team with my classmates to help each other be successful. My work is always complete and handed in on time. I am a happy kid and look forward to school everyday followed by sports in the afternoon. Although it's challenging at times, I have figured out how to stay balanced and organized to stay successful in school and on the field. 

During Covid, I was blessed to help my mom's medical practice assisting nurse practitioners give Covid Tests and Covid Vaccines.

MY ATHLETIC CAREER

In my youth years my team won 21 Tournament Championships.

2018-2020 ODP Florida State 1stTeam, Regional Selection Team

2018-2019- FC Prime ECNL- selected as Club defensive MVP.

2019- selected to ECNL CSP Southeast Region Team

2018- attended US National Training Center

2019- attended ODP National Training Camp

2018-2019- Team Boca 2004 team- FSPL- 2nd place, State Cup , CASL tournament Champions 2019

2019-Invited to play 2019 PDA Tournament weekend with FC Prime 2004 team

2019/20  The Benjamin School- MVP

2019-2020 Sunrise Prime ECNL 2005 team- starter all 21 games

2020/21 The Benjamin School- Defensive Player of the year. Second Team

2020-2021 Sunrise Prime ECNL 2005 team- Finished 3rd in the league. Allowed 5 goals against in 22 games. Started All games

2020-Texas National ECNL tournament champions.

2020- Greer National ECNL tournament champions.

2021- Sanford National ECNL tournament - undefeated

2021- NC National ECNL tournament- undefeated

I also have played Lacrosse my entire athletic career and was a starter at midfield. In high school I have done soccer, cross country, lacrosse, and swim team. I won several awards in lacrosse including this past year as defensive player of the year.
