Hi my name is Emily, and here's a little about myself. I started playing soccer when I was four and I’ve always had a strong love for the game. Growing up, many of my friends played soccer, it gave me a sense of competition and made me the kind of competitive player/person I am today. Growing up playing multiple sports has benefited me in many ways. I’ve been able to take what I learn in other sports and put it into soccer and vice versa. I believe this makes me a better athlete and shows my ability to think and use my senses in many different ways. Competition doesn’t scare me, instead it brings on new challenges for me to accomplish. Growing up playing soccer developed many skills such as leadership and communication on the field and off. School is extremely important to me. Keeping up my 4.0 GPA will allow me to choose high competition universities I wish to attend to. I am interested in taking Biology as a major in university, and to eventually attend medical school. Other things I love doing include reading, listening to music, skiing, and travelling.
Respecting my coaches, my teammates, and myself is very important to me. I show this respect through my attitude. When on the field I try to have a good attitude towards the game and my teammates. When things are not going my way, I maintain positivity and work hard to do better. My attitude and effort are the two things I focus the most on not only in soccer but in school and for achieving my personal goals. One can always control these two things no matter what, and I believe having a good attitude and putting in 100% effort makes me a better athlete, student, and person. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, Emily Djagbare
