Hi, my name is Mariana, and I am a Class of 2025 goalkeeper from Georgia. I've been playing soccer for almost ten years, and my passion for the game drives me to continue playing in college.
I moved to the U.S. two years ago, a transition that has taught me to adapt quickly to different coaching styles and play tactics.
My soccer journey began as a defender and later transitioned to midfielder before settling into the role of goalkeeper. This diverse experience has honed my foot skills and given me a deep understanding of my teammates' perspectives and roles on the field.
Off and on the pitch, I am dedicated to working hard to improve my game, finding peace in knowing that I'm continuously striving to be the best version of myself. Soccer is more than just a sport to me—it's a significant part of my culture and family, and it provides me with opportunities for personal growth and belonging.
I am interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology, followed by a master's in Sport Psychology. I am excited about the possibility of blending my passion for sports with my academic aspirations.
