Soccer is in my DNA. My mother played four years of Division I college soccer at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and under her guidance and coaching, I have grown to love soccer and have embraced the life lessons that it has provided me. When I started playing soccer at the age of four, my mom was my coach, and she continuously pushed me harder than my teammates, as often happens when your mother is your coach. Perhaps I wasn't in love with the game at age four, but I quickly realized how fun this game of soccer truly was, and after that initial U4 season, I was hooked! Mom didn't want to coach both of her daughters at two different age levels, so I was placed on my sister's U10 team at the age of 7. I was offsides a lot, but all I wanted to do was go to goal, and I scored more goals than any other player. The following year I said goodbye to rec soccer and tried out for Concorde Soccer Club in Atlanta, GA, where I have played soccer for eleven years. I have enjoyed playing many positions throughout my soccer career, and I am a versatile and smart player. Currently, I am an outside back/defensive midfielder for my Concorde Fire Platinum ECNL team (coached by Garvin Quamina), and I had the opportunity to play as a freshman on my high school team this past spring season, starting and playing every game at the central midfield position (both attacking and holding). My high school team won the Georgia 5A State Championship, and I was named Region 5 Player of the Year. I have been told by coaches that I have great vision of the game, and I enjoy making passes and setting up my teammates. I am looking for a strong soccer program that will take my game to the next level as it is truly my dream of playing college soccer.
