In 2017, I moved up from Athena C to Athena A. I was so excited that my soccer talents were recognized! That year I took on a support role for the team. This was the experience that has shaped the soccer player I am today. I realized that in order to become a competitive soccer player, I would need to work harder and play smarter. In the fall of 2018, my hard work began to pay off. I practiced not only with my team but also with my coach's boy's team. I became a starter, learned a new position, and led the team in goals for the fall season. After experiencing a bone bruise in my right foot, I was forced to shoot only with my left foot. This allowed me to develop both of my feet for shooting.
My goal for 2019 was to move up a level at my Club. I worked hard the previous year on conditioning, first touch, and shooting. I am fortunate enough to have my goal come true. This season I will be playing on the SCCL team for Concorde Fire.
I am fortunate enough to have the support from my parents and my coach. I have learned the value of teamwork, determination, and sacrifice. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically, academically, and socially. I want to be surrounded by student-athletes who share my interest and passion for soccer. I believe I have the talent, athleticism, and character to make an immediate positive impact on your soccer program.
