Personal Statement

My name is Addison Morrow and I will be a 2027 graduate from Glynn Academy High School in Georgia. I am a dedicated and hard working student with a 4.2 GPA that is also a 2 sport athlete, earning varsity letters as a freshman on both my high school cross country (Region 2 - 6A Champions in 2023 and 2024) and soccer teams (Region 2 - 6A Champions 2023).

As a freshman on the Glynn Academy Lady Terrors Soccer team I scored 8 goals and had 9 assists.

I really enjoy the combination of physicality, speed and skill needed to compete at the highest levels. I live in a “small market” area, St Simons Island, GA but I have found ways to hone my skills through years of training (Tony Taylor Soccer Academy, Jacksonville, FL) and by traveling several hours away to find and play on competitive club teams (Jacksonville Football Club ECNL-RL), guest playing large national tournaments and showcases like WAGS, Raleigh, Disney (Mid-City Lions National Team), and being selected to the South Carolina 2009 girls ODP team in 2023. I have also been invited and will be competing in the world’s largest youth international football tournament and competition, the Gothia Cup in Sweden in 2025.

My primary position is right/left FW where my favorite part of the position is sending crosses or corner kicks to strikers or attacking midfielders for the score. I also enjoy being a “plug and play“ or “utility” type player that can play any position on the field. I try to find any way to contribute to my teams success and lead by example

  • Below are notes on the weekend from UGA camp staff/coaches. Addison's work rate throughout the weekend stayed high and she continued to push herself to elevate her level of game. Being surrounded in an environment with older, more experienced players was a great environment for her to learn. By being in more environments like this it will increase her decision making and speed of play. Continue to work on technical footskills so as decision making increases the footskill's will be able to keep up! Continuing to do simple things like juggle or practicing moves can do great things to your game on the field. As you look to improve. you in game skills try to anticipate where you will receive your next pass from and have an idea of where you want it to go before you receive it. This will also help to improve your speed of play. UGA Soccer Camp Staff
