Sophia Cobos '19 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Junior at West Forsyth High School. I play for Georgia Rush Select U17,  UFA U19/20 soccer clubs and my high school team. I am known for my speed as a defender and lately my coaches have found that I am doing well as a forward. My grandfather was Jose Pena Garcia a professional soccer player in Spain. The best advice he gave me which changed my view in playing soccer was "a good soccer players always stays humble and focused".  I know I have to always be improving my game, either my footwork, conditioning etc., but the most important part is to enjoy the game and be part of a team. My personal trainer currently is a 2 times Olympic women's soccer player, a FIFA Woman's World Cup player and has given me some great advice as a soccer player.  I'm looking for a college where I can contribute my strengths as a player but also get a good education for my life after college.
