Personal Statement

I'm Izzy Chimento. Soccer is my passion. My journey in soccer began at six years old. From the very first moment, I fell in love with the game and never looked back, pushing myself every day since to elevate my play. Through the years, I’ve learned that soccer requires many aspects other than skill to excel. It requires awareness, strategy, speed, a team-focused attitude, grit, and a commitment to pursue ways to continually develop and excel as a versatile player. Soccer has not only provided me with a lot of fun throughout my life, but it has also taught me life lessons such as patience, communication, leadership, resilience, and commitment. I work 110% to apply these traits on and off the pitch. My routine focuses on academics, sports nutrition, performance training in the gym, and time with my family and friends. My academic goals for my high school career are to maintain high grades and to take the required classes to pursue a career in Sports Medicine. My athletic goals are to continually push myself to compete at high levels in ODP, club, and high school soccer in order to pursue my dream of playing collegiate soccer and beyond.  I am very thankful to God and all the people in my life (family, teammates, coaches, friends) who continually support me in my soccer journey. I have a passion for this sport, and I look forward to each and every chapter.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
