Sami Miller '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches.  My name is Sami Miller and I attend McIntosh High School with the graduation year of 2027.  I have been playing soccer since Kindergarten and hope to pursue playing at the collegiate level.  As an attacking midfielder, I am adaptable and easily coachable.  I have a flexible work ethic with the ability to adjust to different field positions as needed.  I started playing travel soccer in 2021 and have embraced the challenges that come with playing at the competitive level.  My first year of playing on a travel team, everyone was new to the team.  We faced early setbacks including a hard loss during our first tournament, scoring two own goals in the first half. However, we didn’t let the loss stop us.  Instead of getting discouraged, we came together and pushed each other to not give up as we worked tirelessly to improve.  Our determination and resiliency paid off as we got first place in the league as well as in our tournament at the end of the season.

I am a dedicated, passionate player who doesn’t allow any obstacles to get in the way of my drive and determination.  In 2023 I had a major injury that kept me off the field for nine months.  During my time on the sideline I focused on rehab for my leg as well as improving my mental toughness.  Since then, I have come back from my injury stronger than before both physically and mentally.  I made and currently play on the MOBA 08/09 National League Team which has sharpened my skills and reinforced my commitment to the sport.  Soccer has taught me discipline and leadership both on and off the field.  As captain of my high school team freshman year, I stayed late after every practice and game to help my coach clean up.  We would discuss and reflect on the team's performance and identify areas of improvement for the next practice to help everyone perform to the best of their ability.

I am dedicated to giving 100% effort to any team I play for and I hope to have the opportunity to bring my attributes to a college team.
