Alexandra "Lexi" Felix '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'6" senior goalkeeper from Kailua, Hawaii.  Although I have played club soccer for the past twelve years, I have played goalie for the past seven years, and it is a position that I absolutely love!  I made Varsity as a freshman, and took the starting position from a  senior my sophmore year. As one of the captains, we have led our team to States for the past two years in a row after not qualifying for more than a decade. Last year I was awarded First Team All-League goalie and the OC16 Team Player Award. Most recently, Iolani, my high school team won the Arizona Soccer Showcase, and I was named Tournament MVP.

I am looking for a mid-sized four-year institution (2-7,000 students) where I can obtain a degree in education or journalism.  I appreciate a urban "college-town" atmosphere, and am open to most areas, but I'm not as interested in the southern states. Ideally, I would like to attend a school on the West Coast, however the Mid-West and the East Coast are definite possibilities.   Financial aid would help tremendously but it is not the deciding factor in me committing to a school. I believe that DII, DIII or the NAIA would be the best fit for me.  My athletic goals are to play as a freshman, and to make a positive impact on my team.
