Aloha! I’m Kerys Palmer - a rising junior at Iolani School, a college preparatory school located in Honolulu, HI.
My strong love for soccer has motivated me to become the best player I can be. Whether it‘s running my own drills at home or at the park or analyzing game film to see how I can improve my positioning or decision making- my favorite part of each day is when I’m practicing or playing soccer, or reflecting on how I can become a better player.
While I spend most of my time outside of school on soccer, I also enjoy surfing, snowboarding and running. Three years ago, I joined Iolani’s Cross Country and Track teams to increase my stamina in soccer. Running has made a big difference in my ability as a wing to make explosive runs up and down the pitch for a full game. I’ve also realized that running has deepened my mental toughness; teaching me to find strength to push through the most difficult challenges.
My love for learning and strong work ethic have helped me achieve a 3.83 GPA in Iolani’s academically rigorous environment. In the years to come, I look forward to playing collegiate soccer at the most competitive level at a highly academic institution.
