Hi, my name is Marisol Stosich, I’m LDS and have a 3.8 GPA. I have been playing soccer since I was eight years old. I have been obsessed with this game ever since I played in my first game. I’m very competitive and I love playing at the highest level. I consider myself a very coachable person and a very positive teammate. I have been selected to the Idaho State ODP team for 6 years now and I‘m also part of the West Regional team. I have been playing in various National leagues including ECNL, E64, and JPL. I currently play for ECNL and I love the competition!
To challenge myself I began playing on a Boys teams around the age of 9 and Finding the extra challenge for myself has been very beneficial to my game and my development as a player. I was nominated as best 11 at nationals in 2022. I have been voted captain of many of my club teams including both the girls teams and boys teams and strive to be a great leader. As a very competitive player I hate to lose, but accept every loss as a learning experience and as a challenge to become better and turn it into a positive experience to come back stronger and learn from it. When it comes to education, I care a lot about my grades as well. I’m aware that someday at some point I will not be able to play soccer competitively which is when I will be more than prepared to begin my next career upon graduating college, as an architect, another dream I plan on fulfilling. One thing my parents have taught me is the importance of my education ever since I was little. My dad would always tell me that the student comes before the athlete in student-athlete… Something that I strive hard to be, both parts, the student and the athlete. That has stuck with me, in my freshman year I maintained a 4.0 GPA. As a freshman I made my high school Varsity team which plays in the states top conference of 5A, I led the state in both goals and points with 32 goals and 9 assists and was awarded the freshman of the year and made first team all conference and State. Today I’m a sophomore at a stronger school in a bigger city and I’m a key player in helping the team. I led in total goals and assists for my team with 17 goals and 9 assists and made the first team all conference and first team all state for my second year in a row. In 2024 I got called up to play for the Guatemalan National senior team which is an incredible opportunity for me at such a young age. I look forward to being part of a top tier program and being able to continue playing the game I’ve come to love so much.
