Ever since I can remember soccer was a part of my life. My older sister and brother both played and were pretty well known. My mom coached and reffed games. Soccer was such a big factor in my life that I decided that I wanted to play too. For many years my family was well known as the “Soccer Family.”
As my mom taught me, I learned to play all positions. My favorite ended up being defender although I was too small in weight and height to play it a lot. I played center back/sweeper for my 2003 age team from 2015-2018. For high school (2018) I played forward and outside wing. In 2018, I experimented with playing forward and wing for my spring team, but mainly played center back. In 2019 and 2020 I played forward and outside wing. In 2020, Idaho Falls soccer season was pushed back into the summer due to COVID-19. For this season I played forward, wing and outside back. Having never played outside back, it was difficult at first, but being a former center back helped in understanding what to do. My teammates and coach would also help and give me advice.
I bring diversity and a willingness to learn and improve to the game of soccer. I’m excited to learn more and improve myself in a collegiate arena.
