- 2018 Highlights
Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer since I was five years old. I have dreamed of playing college soccer for a long time. As I have matured in the sport my goal has been to continually improve my strength, speed and soccer skills through practice and hard work on and off the field. I try to lead by example, while always encouraging my teammates. I have played for the same travel club team since I moved to the Chicago area 8 years ago. I feel like I am a big part of building this team to the USYS National League team it is today.
When I started my junior year in high school, I was chosen by my coach to be the varsity girls soccer representative on the Caption's Council. In this group we work to become better leaders in our sport and try to make all Athletics better at our school. I also received 2018-2019 All Conference Team and 2018-2019 Honorable Mention IHSSCA All Sectional Team my senior year.
Education is a top priority to me. I study hard and try to maintain a high GPA. My faith is also a big part of my life and I strive to always do what I can for others. I have lived in three different states (TX, OR, & IL) and have traveled around the US a lot, so I am open to exploring where ever my future might take me. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. I am hoping to find the right college match at the highest competition level.
UPDATED 6/2019 --- I am so excited to have been accepted into the World Race Gap Year program and have decided to pursue what God has in store for me this coming year. This is a 9 month mission trip to South Africa, Ecuador and Cambodia through Adventures in Missions, World Race in which I will be traveling with other students 18-20 years old to share the love of Jesus, while helping others, seeing some of the world and sharing my love of soccer along the way. I will be gone from Sept. 2019 until the end of May 2020. When I return to the US, I plan to attend college, play soccer and continue my life journey.
