I am a current sophomore attending Douglas MacArthur high school. I play soccer because I love it and have much passion for it. The skill, physicality, anticipation, the thrill, and the new families you make. I have played soccer for most of my life. I started playing in 2016 and I'm still going strong. I've made MVP twice and have a collection of metals, plaques, and ribbons from successful tournaments. I tried other sports such as track, cross-country, and basketball which I performed very well at but soon realized soccer was the one sport that excited me the most. I have a tremendous drive and passion for soccer. When I step on the field, I feel unstoppable! I am extremely fast on and off the field. The feeling of the perfect pass right in the box and it's just you and the goalie is only something a soccer player could understand. I am constantly working to on my speed by staying physically active all year-round. I have a rigorous workout routine I follow.
While having the drive and aggressive spirit, I can also be very caring for myself, my team, and the opposing players. My caring mentality is why I wish to attend college to be a veterinarian, the animal medical/ agriculture field for a major which I am aware is a very selective program. I have researched sports medicine and exercise science as well which is also on my career list. I strive to keep my grades as high as possible, while taking AP and Honor classes and balancing a demanding training schedule.
I've been a part of two leadership groups; DCLI and CGTI to work on bettering my leadership skills and helping around the community. I have also been a part of Dr. Sherrod's Independent Mentorship Program or (S.I.M.P.) for short, which has allowed me to work directly with our cities police department to help engage with the youth of my community. I feel this is my unique take as a soccer player and hope to be a great candidate for you! As of 2024, I have been inducted into the National Honors Society.
At the end of the day, I always have my parents by my side pushing me to be better than I was yesterday, taking me all over the states for competitions and trainings. They help me attain my goals for bettering myself and my talents.
