I was around 11 years old when I started to understand what soccer meant to me. I quickly figured out that it was more than an after-school activity that provided me with a healthy dose of exercise. Soccer began to be something I could always depend on. I would start to spend my afternoons running around on the uneven grass in my backyard, kicking a ball against the small brick wall separating the lawn from the patio. Those backyard training sessions helped lead me to earn a spot on a team an age group up from my own and make the varsity team at my high school freshman year.
As a senior, school is my main focus. I find immense satisfaction in succeeding in my academics as well as my athletics, and I’m looking for a program that will offer me that same satisfaction. I pride myself in finding a solution to any problem I am presented with and I hope those same problem-solving skills can be applied at your school. The ambition I have to compete propels me to work my hardest at whatever I do and I know that same ambition will translate over to your program.
