Alexis Strothers '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old and still love the game as much now as I did then. I feel that as a soccer player, I am a composed and tactical player who has a the ability to read the field well. I have good speed and endurance. I strive to become the best player possible at what ever position my coach needs me to play.  As a student I am hard working. I expect a lot from myself in the classroom and on the soccer field. I have learned to manage my time well which helps me with homework, grades and my family and soccer commitments.

In the past few years have tried to pass on my love for soccer by being a volunteer coach/ trainer for 5-9 year olds at our local soccer club's soccer academy, summer camp and the park district "skills and drills" clinic.

In 2015 I was honored to be named IHSSCA All-State, only the 2nd person in my high school program to have done so, I was also named to the All Conference and All Area Team. In past years I was named All-Sectional team (2013 & 2014, 2014), NSC All Conference player (2013 &  2014) and Lake County Illinois All Area team (2013 & 2014).  I was also selected to represent the State of Illinois as the starting Central Defender on the 96 ODP Team. I am looking forward to what each year brings and hope to improve myself as a student and athlete each year.
