As I look ahead to life after high school, I am striving to identify an excellent college/university that will push me to work hard, grow personally, and prepare me for a rewarding vocation and career - a school where I can make a significant contribution to the school and the women's soccer program. 

I have had the good fortune to grow up in a large, diverse high school with strong soccer clubs in the surrounding areas and have played club soccer since the age of six. Fitness and soccer are my extracurricular passions. I am captain of our club team where I have played center-mid for the last several years, but since fall 2019 I have been moving around, primarily between center-mid and center-forward, to support the team where most needed in a given game, and am the lead scorer. In 2019, I was the only freshman who started on our high school varsity team (division 3A) where I played defensive back -  my first time in that position - and was also the lead corner kicker. Now, as a junior, I am team captain and also the top scorer. We have now completed regular play with a record of 13-1-3 and are tied for first place in the conference, moving into sectionals. For this season competition, I contributed 21 goals and 11 assists. The opportunity to play in so many positions and roles over the past three years has broadened and sharpened my skills and soccer IQ and I relish being able to step in to provide support as both a strong defensive or offensive threat, as needed. My speed, balance and physical strength are assets that support my leadership and technical abilities on the field.

Off the field, I am taking honors and AP classes that will best prepare me for academic success and I am excited to have strengthened my GPA with each successive semester (cumulative 3.95). My strong work-ethnic, fitness level, character and academic commitment are defining attributes that are often lifted up by my coaches and teachers. I have been privileged to have excellent teachers and coaches that have helped to form my approach to soccer, academics and life. I can't wait to see what the future holds!
