Jamie Stern '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jamie Stern and I am a Junior in high school. I have been playing soccer since the age of 3, and I have loved every minute of it. Throughout the years of playing I have learned that I am very coachable and that I am a leader on and off the field. Once I start something I always finish it and I am very mentally and physically tough. I put this into play during practice and games. I love challenges and I never back down because they just make me better and more well-rounded. Also, I am very intelligent about the game. I never give up when I am physically tired and my legs can't go anymore, I push through and keep going for my team and for myself.  I sacrifice my body for my team.

As a starter for my club team, my coaches know they can rely upon my speed and agility to advance the ball, win the ball and use my head without fear to keep the ball in play. Also, they can count on me to use my speed and overlap the mid fielder and make runs down the line. My ability to carry the ball up the field and cross the ball have also assisted on goals. I have scored not only with my powerful legs but also with my head.  I know the game well and use my defensive strategy and intelligence about the game to anticipate and be proactive to provide solid defense and attack.

As a freshmen I made the Varsity soccer team at my high school, and playing against seniors in high school has made me very physically tough. Also, playing against older people has made me more mature with my game. I am passionate about playing soccer in college and eager to find a program that will allow me to play at the highest, most competitive level. I am also a very good student and take my education seriously. Right now I am in all Honor/AP classes and I am in my schools Medicine/Doctor club and Giant Buddies. I am also in my school's choir. I am looking for a university experience that will allow me to play soccer and challenge me academically.
