Kayla Severinsen '13 Recruiting Profile

Academics I plan to attend college and major in Nursing and then continue on to receive my RN and Advanced Degree in Surgical Nursing, while trying to maintaining a 3.5 GPA. As a Student: I have always tried my best to give 100% at school. Athletics I want to continue to challenge myself on and off the soccer field by working hard on my development, agility and speed. I would love to be a contributing factor in helping assist the College I attend compete at the highest level possible. As a Soccer Player: I am a very challenging defender; I play very physical and am passionate about defending our net. I have very good vision and play strong in the air. I consider myself to be a very disciplined, a leader and hard worker. I try to run out side of practice year round to keep myself conditioned and in shape. I believe my biggest strength is the mental side of the game and my ability to compete. Voted by Tournament Committee to All Star Game MD Cup 6/2011 Fall 2010 my Club team won Presidents Cup to represent Illinois in Regionals, in June 2011 we won regionals in South Bend, IN to represent the midwest at Nationals, in July 2011 we finished 3rd at Nationals in Des Moines, IA After being injured for most of the season last year Spring 2012. I am planning to play Outside Back or Center Back for my Varsity High School Team this spring. Activities When I am older, I would like to be able to Coach a kid's team and give back to the game that has given me so much. I also volunteer at the hospital, work part time with kids, practice with my club team 3 days a week and play soccer games on the week end. I was a member of POMS Freshman and Sophmore Years....
