Emma Vasconez '20 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to continue to be a student athlete in college while obtaining a degree from a great school.  I am thinking of studying anthropology or global studies and possibly continuing on to law school.  I hold myself to a high standard academically and strive to improve my soccer skills at every training session and in every game.

I've been told I am a versatile player; while I usually play the 6 position, I am solid at the 8, 10, 4/5 and 2/3 spots.  I take feedback from my coaches seriously and apply it to the next situation.  I have been learning how to give good feedback through my volunteer coaching with our U9 girls team.  That experience is influencing me on the leader I want to be within my own team. 

I am looking for the right fit no matter the location.  I am the youngest in my family with my oldest brother having graduated in 2018 from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis MD and my other brother currently attending Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem NC.  I have family across the country from CA to FL to NH.  I am independent and love to travel and experience new places outside my small town in northwest Illinois.
