Personal Statement
Coming from a family with 3 others brothers and sisters, the concept of family is very important to me. A strong connection with the coaching staff and my future teammates is a key decision criteria for me as they will be my "family" during long bus rides, important victories, bad games, etc. I want to play with teammates that build each other up, not break each other down during tough losses, and create memories with me as we celebrate championships together.
Also, I am looking for a school where I can grow - in the classroom, on the field, and as a person. That balance is very important to me given the expected challenges in college. Shutting down the opponent's best winger or outpacing a striker to the ball is what makes me tick, but that result occurs only when I have properly prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally. What you can expect from me is my very best every time -- whether practice, training / weight room, homework / study hours, the bench during games, or on the field. As a freshman at Morton High School, I had to work hard to earn my way onto the varsity team, but that work was rewarded with a starting position and a 2019 IHSA Regional Championship.
These are the experiences that I look forward to as a member of your team!
