Coming from a small family with no brothers or sisters, having a place were I feel welcome and part of a big family is very important to me. My involvement with soccer since I was 5 has fulfilled that need, one I hope to continue at the collegiate level. I am a very competitive athlete, as with all other areas of my life. That competitive aspect holds true in my academics. Finding a school that matches my academic needs is very important to me.
Outside of school and soccer, I keep myself busy. I have learned to balance a part-time job at Kohl's and am a member of a few clubs, notably Young Life, FCA, Best Buddies and I-Club. Young Life is a club where we bring people closer together while also building a relationship with God. FCA provides a good compliment to my Young Life experience. Best Buddies is a club that matches high school kids with children with disabilities. We help them develop a sense of belonging to a group by our interactions with them outside of the classroom. I-Club is a high school athletic club with a focus of helping athletes learn leadership skills, becoming a better leader, etc.
When I am not in school, on the soccer field, working or at a club meeting, I like to spend my free time hanging out with friends or enjoying quality time with my dogs.
