Vanessa Cortez '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Vanessa Cortez, and I am a 16-year-old sophomore at St Charles North HS. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to strive and to do my best at whatever I try, even if I fail at it. I have always been strong at my academics. If I struggle in that subject, I will go out of my way to personally get stronger in that subject until I am no longer weak at it. This reflects my average test scores/grades (I currently do not have a clear GPA), and I have been getting all A's since middle school. Throughout middle school and during my freshman year of high school, I have managed to juggle both all my academics (homework, meetings, etc) and my sports (Club and HS tryouts/training). I am a strong learner, I am capable of taking criticism, and good at giving peer feedback to my peers/teammates. I am a bright and funny teammate and have no problems making new friends. I love getting feedback from my teammates since they are trying to help better me, and I will always be there for my teammates in return. In addition, I also have a twin sister who plays in the same club, division, and high school as me who is interested in the recruiting process for soccer as well.
