Emma Bellot '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Emma Bellot. I’m a senior from Springfield, Illinois, graduating in 2021. I currently have a 3.83/4.0 GPA. I’m a 5’7 outside left winger and defender, however, I’m just as comfortable playing right defender and winger. While I am left-footed, I’m technically a (strong) switch. I've played six years of club ball with SASA Spirits, Capital City Strikers and Springfield United. My seventh season of club was with the SASA Spirits U17 and U19 teams. My third season of school ball was to kick off March 17, 2020 which was the same day our governor announced the stay-at-home orders due to the pandemic. My team and I were upset, this was going to be our year! We hoped to play but it was clear the season was lost. I've begun practice for my eighth season of club with CIU (Central Illinois United). I'm thrilled to be getting started again with my team and can't wait for restrictions to lift and competitive play to begin!  

I play soccer and want to continue playing in college because I love everything about the game. The competition, teamwork, and physicality are what drive me to be the hardworking player who earned a place as varsity starter freshman, sophomore, and junior years and helped my team achieve our 2018 regional championship and 2nd place in our 2019 sectional championship. I want to continue to make a large impact on the field with my college team.  

I am looking for an urban school of any size with amazing physical or occupational therapy and soccer programs!
