Personal Statement

Soccer means a lot to me and it’s taught me how to embrace challenges and work to surmount obstacles The idea of being a part of a team when everyone is pushing each other to reach a higher goal is what drives me.  The relentless desire to improve, not just for myself but to be a pillar for my teammates, has remained a driving force.

I push myself all year round by being involved in club soccer throughout the fall and winter, and high school in the spring. To keep my touch sharp, I train at Toca Naperville three times a week, and include regular weight training and futsal with my teammates. Leading by example and fostering a positive team dynamic is why I was selected as the team captain my Freshman year on the JV team. Being selected to the G16U NPL All Star Team in the Fall of 2022, was a testament to my hard work and commitment. Heading into Sophomore year I had the privilege of playing for both the JV and Varsity teams which both had successful seasons.

Academically, I strive for excellence, maintaining a high GPA and earning induction into the National Honor Society. Outside the classroom I love to volunteer at my church, Gospel Life Church, and seize opportunities to coach younger players in my club. My family's love for travel has cultivated my appreciation for new places, people, and diverse cultures.

I want to attend a school where I can continue to push myself both on and off the field. I believe my course load in high school along with extracurriculars have equipped me with experience that will help me balance my future academics and athletics. I am excited about the prospect of contributing my passion, leadership, and determination to a collegiate community that values both personal and team success.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
