Hey there, I am Adrian Hassenplug. I love soccer, school, and my family. These are the things that make me, well me.
First things first, let's talk soccer. I am the goalkeeper, the final line of defense. I've been playing since second grade, and I haven't looked back since. When it comes to indoor games, I am averaging 20-30 blocks per game. During the winter, I’ll be on the futsal court, enjoying the high-speed version of soccer. Whether it's on grass, turf, or a court, I am always ready to play my best.
Next, my team skills. I am always supporting my teammates, giving props for their hard work and celebrating their victories. Even when the scoreboard isn't in our favor, I never throw in the towel. I stay in the game and I am dedicated till the very end.
I am not just a hard worker on the field but also in the classroom. I am a straight-A student and have a 4.0 GPA. I am taking all the honors and AP classes my school offers. I have been on the distinguished honor roll all throughout middle school. I have also gained multiple awards from different teachers. I have never let a missing/late assignment determine my grade nor have I been disciplined at school for inappropriate behavior. I also was invited to a Youth Voice Day where we talked about how to find ways to solve issues that affect our communities diversity, equity, and inclusion.
When I am not defending the goal or working on homework, I am practicing for my school band. I have been playing the trumpet for three years now, and our band has gotten Gold at both my 7th and 8th-grade contests.
I also love art. I have been in Art Club for two years straight. My pieces have been showcased in local exhibits since elementary school, I have gotten some awards, and even made it into the school yearbook. Art is another way I express myself, and I love showing off my creative skills.
So yeah, that's me in a nutshell - Adrian Hassenplug, dedicated soccer gk, academic ace, trumpet enthusiast, and art aficionado. I am responsible, respectful, and always ready to tackle whatever life throws my way. I can’t wait to see what high school and college have in store!
