I started playing soccer when I was around 4 for a rec league. I knew the basics of soccer, but I didn't know how to control things like my footwork and touches. It wasn't until I started playing for SWISA (a travel club) in 5th grade that I learned and started perfecting my skill. I played for SWISA up to 8th grade and during that time I was a team captain and had three different coaches. I also continued to play soccer for my middle school where I also continued to be a leader by encouraging others and by being the center back I controlled our defense and learned how to encourage others and communicate while on and off the field.
Ever since I started SWISA my goal has been to win state cup. I now play on a varsity high school team and about 3 years ago they made it semi-state and that is my goal. I am a dedicated player. When I want something I usually get it because I work hard and don't give up. I wanted to make varsity my freshman year so I gave my all at every practice. I achieved my goal and was the only freshman to make varsity. That's what makes me different as a player. I set goals for myself and achieve them. I am one of the hardest working players you would have.
I have a very loyal and strong character because of my parents. I do not skip practices and they have always expected me to give 120%. I do not care what school I would go to because I'd be doing the same thing at every place which is really what matters to me.
Not only do I work hard in sports, but I also work hard in academics. I have a 3.8 GPA and am taking a honors math class. Next year I will be taking two honors classes. Academics have always been just as important to me as sports.
