Personal Statement

My name is Arden Brames, a 2027 attacking forward. My goal is to graduate with an honors diploma and continue my education and soccer career at the collegiate level. I dream of receiving an academic and soccer scholarship for an NCAA Division I or II school that will challenge me athletically and academically.

For me, soccer is more than just a game. Soccer has taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. I enjoy the competitive environment of soccer and the ability to work alongside my teammates. As a team player, I am always willing to go the extra mile to support my teammates and help them achieve their goals. I am an aggressive player, a leader, a hard worker, coachable, and a good communicator on the field.

I will play for Indiana Fire Academy South, ECNL 2009 Girls club team this year. In 7th and 8th grade, I played as a varsity starter for my team at Jasper Middle School, playing the attacking forward position.

Upon graduating 8th grade, I ranked academically at the top of my class with a 4.29 GPA. All three years, I remained on the honor roll while completing several honors courses, including Biology, Math, and English. As an incoming Freshman, I am taking Honors Chemistry and Honors Geometry. Academics are important, so I have worked hard to maintain good grades and play competitive soccer.

I am also a part of the track team and run the 100m, 4x100m, 4x400m, and long jump. For extracurricular activities, I am a member of YoungLife and active in my church. I am also a certified soccer referee, which allows for more opportunities to gain knowledge of the game I love and ref both travel and recreational leagues. Friends and family describe me as smart, thoughtful, strong, determined, energetic, and creative.

I am looking to continue my education and soccer career at the collegiate level and desire to find a school that will be a great fit academically and athletically.

Thank you for considering. I look forward to meeting with you and further discussing my qualifications and aspirations.

- Arden Brames
