With less than a minute on the clock in the 2025 ECNL Regional League Championship, defenders closing in, and my team’s season on the line, I did what I’ve trained my entire life to do—I found a way. That game-winning goal didn’t just send my Indy Eleven Spirit ECNL RL G09 team to Nationals; it demonstrated who I am as a player and person: someone who rises to the challenge when it matters most.

I'm Arden Brames, a 2027 graduate from Jasper High School with a 4.27 GPA and class rank of 8th out of 285 students. I understand that excellence isn’t achieved by accident—it’s cultivated through relentless dedication both on the field and in the classroom. My 13 years of soccer experience, including earning a starting center forward varsity position as a freshman in postseason play and helping lead my team to Indiana Regionals, has taught me that success comes from the harmony between athletic pursuit and academic achievement, not from trying to balance them as competing priorities.

What sets me apart from other recruits isn’t just my speed or ability to shoot with both feet from multiple positions across the forward line. It’s my intelligence, field awareness, determination, and drive to improve. When my teams need versatility, I’ve learned to excel at different positions. When they need leadership, I step up with a positive attitude. When they need someone who won’t quit, I’m the player who puts in extra training beyond club and high school requirements because I thrive when pushed out of my comfort zone.

My athletic achievements speak to my commitment: advancing to ECNL RL Nationals as well as Regional competitions in both high school soccer and track, contributing to championship-level teams, and consistently performing under pressure. But my academic credentials—maintaining honors-level coursework while pursuing my pre-med Biology track—demonstrate the mental toughness and time management skills that translate directly to collegiate success.

I’m seeking an NCAA Division I or II program that shares my commitment to excellence in both athletics and academics. My goal is clear: to contribute immediately to a winning culture while pursuing a bachelor's degree in preparation for medical school. I bring speed that separates me from defenders, strength that allows me to compete physically, and the ability to read the game and make split-second decisions that change outcomes.
