Lea Alexander '21 Recruiting Profile

  Soccer is a big part of my life. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old and have kept it in my life ever since. My collegiate goals are to push myself and strive for the best I can be both athletically and academically. I would make a good candidate for a college team because of my strong athletic ability and my ability to be a leader on the field. I have always thought of myself as being a natural born leader and I feel that I am a good teammate both on and off the field. I am also very athletic, my speed and athleticism would definitely contribute to any team. I think what sets me apart from others on the field is my awareness on the field as well as my attitude. I feel that I know the soccer game well and I can see what has to happen on the field. I also believe that I am very coachable and willing to learn to do whatever it takes to make my team and myself better. 

  Other than my athletic abilities, I definitely set myself apart from others academically. I am currently a freshman in high school and I am already making an effort to do my best academically. I have a 4.0 gpa and I am very focused in the classroom. I am goal driven in the classroom and on the field. I believe that goals are very important in trying to strive to be my best.

  As well as playing soccer for several years, I have also played basketball for about 7 years and I am currently a starter on the varsity team this season.  Being a multi sport athlete is important because I have to learn to manage my time well. I have to manage practice with school almost year round. It has helped me become more focused and driven on achieving my goals in school and in sports.

  I have an interest in sports marketing/management as well as hospitality and tourism and I dream of going to a University where I can learn and work towards a career in one of these fields as well as improving my athletic ability and becoming a well rounded player and contributor to the team.
