I would be a good candidate for you team because, not only have I been playing soccer at a very competitive level for a long time, I am involved in and have been recognized for my academic and leadership abilities off the soccer field. I will always work hard to better myself both on and off the field.
I have been involved in peer leadership, whereas a member, of the peer leadership team I mentored and helped other students succeed in school. Academically, I was recognized as a Gold Honor Roll Member by maintaining a 3.5-3.99 GPA, for all 4 quarters of my freshman year of high school. I received recognition as a Principal Award recipient for having a 4.0 GPA this last semester of my sophomore year. I have also been awarded the Athletic-Academic All Europe Award and All-Conference Awards, recognizing me for my academic and athletic achievement. I believe in being a lady of character and surround myself with likeminded friends, regularly attending my church's youth group programs. Collegiately, I would like to study biology and other sciences in order to apply for medical school. My long term professional goal is to be a radiologist. During my college career I would also like to participate in clubs and committees aimed at bettering the community as a whole.
I am a military brat and as a family member of a service member, I have had to move a lot, thus I feel I am well adjusted to adapting to new environments and challenges. Moving frequently has given me the opportunity to play soccer in many locations and at many levels. I believe I have a strong leg and excellent ball control. My ability to pass the ball accurately and on time is my best skill. When I lived in Texas my U13 girls team won the South Texas State Championship. Currently, I live in Kaiserslautern, Germany where I attend Kaiserslautern High School. I have played Varsity Soccer since I was a 14 year old freshman and was given the coaches award at our end of year soccer banquet my freshman year. My coach said I received this award for always placing the team first through my willingness and ability to play any position on the field. During my sophomore year, my coaches selected me a as a team captain and most valuable player. I was also selected by opposing coaches for my play during the regular season and received All District 1st Team honors. For the last two years I played soccer for a German soccer club registered as a U17 Regionalliga club in the German Soccer League. This year I started training with FC Saarbrucken's U17 Girls Bundesliga Team. Bundesliga is Germany's premier soccer club level for U17 girls. I also currently play for the KMC Select team and have been a member of the USYS ODP Europe State Team for the last two years. Internationally, I have competed against teams from Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy.
