Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Keisha and I am a dedicated and dynamic wing back with a passion for soccer. I live in Brisbane, Australia and would love the opportunity to be part of a collegiate Soccer program in the USA.

As a devoted soccer player and diligent student, my journey has been defined by a commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Soccer has been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember, teaching me invaluable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and resilience. These qualities have been instrumental in shaping my character and driving my academic and athletic achievements.

Throughout my high school career, I have maintained a 3.0 GPA while competing at a high level in soccer. My role as ta leader in my team has provided me with the opportunity to hone my leadership skills, foster a collaborative team environment, and develop a strong sense of responsibility. Balancing the demands of rigorous training schedules with academic commitments has enhanced my time management abilities and instilled a strong work ethic.

I am particularly proud of my contributions to our team’s success, including:

2024: U23 WNPL Womens Premiers and Champions

2024: All Australian Soccer Team – Shadow player selection

2024: School Sport Australia 18 Years and Under Girls Championship representing Queensland

2024: Selected as a younger age player to participate in a Talent ID game organized by Football Australia for U20 national selection

2023: Football Australia National Youth Championships representing QLD (Junior Matilda pathway)

2023: U23 WNPL Womens Premiers and Champions

These experiences have not only enriched my soccer career but also reinforced my determination to pursue excellence in all aspects of my life.

I am excited about the opportunity to bring my passion, skills, and dedication to a College/University environment, where I plan to pursue a degree in Engineering. I am eager to contribute to the College/University soccer program and immerse myself in an environment that fosters both academic and athletic growth. I believe that my strong work ethic, leadership qualities, and commitment to continuous improvement will enable me to make a positive impact at a College/University community.
