Personal Statement

Hi, I am a dynamic, joyful and determined young lady. As a player I have a lot of leadership on and off the field, I see the game and anticipate well. I am a playmaker, not the tallest but very technic. I listen to coaches recommendations very seriously and I work very hard to constantly improve. I always contribute to build or enhance the spirit and the bound among my teammates. Coaches say that when I am on the field it shows and it makes a difference. Soccer has been my passion since I had started playing at four years old. Even at that age it was clear for me that I wanted to be one of the best soccer players in the world. I wanted to be like Mia Hamm. Time passed and I grew up and my dream became to make the Canadian National Team. It is still the same today. I am always completely dedicated to everything I do. It's the only way I know how to do things. My personal standards are very high and not giving my best every time I get on the field or I go to class is unacceptable. I think it's this determination and perseverance that helped me reach many of my goals. I play in a AAA Club, I played for my Cegep AAA team (François-Xavier-Garneau), I played for the Quebec Provincial Team and my last two summers I played for the Quebec City Amiral, a Semi-Professional team playing in the W-League. I was also part of the CNHP (National Center of High Performance), a development program for the Canadian National Team. Over all, my studies remain my first priority. Therefore, I put all efforts necessary to stay in the first percentile. I want to play among the best American Universities to obtain a recognized diploma in Business Administration and to improve as a person but also as an athlete. For me to play in the US represents an amazing opportunity as long as I can get a scholarship and find a school that will offer me good surrounding, coaching and life opportunities. This year though, I am not attending College since I had an opportunity to live in Asia. My dad has a two years contract in the Philippines and I have decided to jump into discovering Asia, its diversified cultures, ways of living and amazing people. I fulfill my time between Mandarin Class, charity work in an orphanage, training and travelling. This is a wonderful life changing experience to be exposed to this other side of the world and having the chance to learn and grow from it.
