Lauren Patzer '24 Recruiting Profile

My purpose for attending college is to receive an education in preparation for my vocation and to further develop my soccer abilities in order to reach my long term goal of playing soccer in Europe.

I am a good candidate for your team for many reasons. To start, in March 2022, I was invited to be a trialist at OGC Nice football club, in France. I have a high soccer IQ and great vision of the pitch which results in strong passes often leading to scoring opportunities. As well, I have been building my fitness level for many years by working out weekly with a trainer, as well as going to the gym on my own and running 3x/week.

I am driven to excel. With great determination and discipline, I work hard to achieve the goals I have set. I enjoy working with others and easily get along with people of all ages. Every coach comments that I am very coachable and a pleasure to have on the team. I have a good sense of humor and a strong work ethic. I am also content to work independently. Time away from others gives me the opportunity to think deeply and assess my next steps. I am as hard working in class as I am on the pitch. Each year in high school my GPA has been in the high 90s. Outside of soccer and school, I enjoy reading, playing games with my family, skiing, volunteering at my church and when time allows, hanging out with my friends.
