Morgan Astles '19 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to attend a University where I am able to play soccer at a high, competitive level while obtaining an education.

I am a multi-sport athlete that has played Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball. I am a very driven and extremely competitive player. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and it’s a huge passion of mine. While I enjoy all the sports I play, Soccer has always been my number one commitment. Knowing that I want to play Soccer at the highest level possible continues to motivate me to always push myself and to continue working as hard as I can. 

Leadership and Communication are two of my greatest strengths as a person, which is displayed by me being chosen as Captain of my club soccer team and also many of my high school sports teams. Also I have received several athletic awards for playing Soccer, Volleyball and Basketball on my school teams, such as:  “Leadership”, “Most Valuable Player” and “Most Improved Player” as well as being awarded “Athlete of the Year” for the past three consecutive years.  

I am a very mature athlete, lead by example, am very coachable and have good interpersonal skills. I have always fit well with different groups of players i have played with, and am well liked by both coaches and team mates. Both my sport and academic goals are very high and I understand the commitment it will take to achieve them. I have a very good GPA and have been an Honour Roll student all through both Middle and High School.
