I am a 5'3 Center Forward and I am also comfortable playing on either right or left wing. I've been playing soccer since the age of 4 and competitively since 5. I . I have been described by my coaches as a very aggressive and tenacious player, especially in 1 v.1 situations, very fast and good with both my feet and that I see the field and the development of play extremely well. I'm a very hard worker and very dedicated to everything I do. For the past 3 years I have dedicated my entire training to the improvement of my soccer skills. This includes intense winter sessions with my club side, individual training with "Adademie de Soccer DHP", an elite level training academy in Montreal that is run by my club coach who is a former European professional player, and attending an intense summer skills camp at Santa Clara University for each of the past 3 summers. My club side plays an average of 26 games per season at the elite AAA level, including both league and Cup matches. Over the past 4 years, with different clubs, I have been given the honour of being named the team's MVP twice; and on each season with my clubs, the teams records improved from the previous year.
Up until the age of 14, I also competed at an elite level in Artistic Gymnastics, twice winning Provincial Championship honours and once winning the Eastern Canada Regional Championship for my category. I know what it takes to be the best and I am committed to doing what it takes to reach that goal. I left Gymnastics to specifically concentrate on soccer.
Academics are equally important to me and since I transferred to my current High School, I have been fortunate enough to win the School's Merit Award each of the last 2 years. Although I haven't decided what field of study I would like to pursue, I am certainly interesting in areas where I can help people, such as nursing or other types of support therapy.
I also believe in participating in my community. I have chosen on several occasions to act as one of my city's Youth Ambassadors, which involves taking part in various civic activities such as the Winter Carnival, Kirkland Day and our annual Mini-Olympics. The role involves being a good representative for the city and coaching and helping younger children during the different events. I am bi-lingual in French and English and I understand Italian.
I believe that I am coachable and I have been told that I am a good team mate. Every day I that make mistakes on the practice field or if I happen to play a game of soccer that is not at my normal level, I look for feedback and constructive criticism from my coaches and team mates to improve in any way possible. I know i have a lot of work ahead of me to play at university soccer level, but I know i will prove that I am a very hard working soccer player and will show any Coach who is interested that I'm a worthy candidate to play for their university soccer team . I've always wanted to play Division 1 soccer and I am hoping to find an opportunity at an institution that but that is best suited for me.
Thank you
