I am a regular Ghanaian girl with love for sports in general (especially for Soccer and Basketball). My love for sports I believe can be attributed to my DNA as my big brother who currently holds the 200m record in my school was the most valuable sports personality in his day in the same school I attend. He played multiple sports (soccer, basketball, hockey, volleyball etc.) for the school just like I currently do and my father also has a lot of stories of his soccer exploits in his youth. Fortunately for me, I inherited this family trait of having both the love and ability for sports but more specifically soccer.
In addition to this, I am also a person with great humility and an infectious work ethic. With these attributes and my love for soccer and sports in general, I know I have what it takes to even make it professionally if I ever choose to go that route. My big brother who is a huge influence on me once told me ''...always believe in your dreams and never let anyone or anything stop you from achieving them'' and that is one of the major contributing factors that made me (a regular Ghanaian girl) decide to apply to schools in the United States of America to broaden my scope of opportunities and help me achieve my dream of studying in a world class university/college while playing the sports I love.
In bringing my statement to an end, I will like to tell say that I strongly believe in my ability and with hard work I know any school, coach or institution that puts its/his/her belief in me is not going to be disappointed.
