Fiona Nagel Martinez '28 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Fiona.  I play at Europa, C.E. in the Women's First Division Juvenil (U19) league in Barcelona, Spain. 

I am a dual citizen (U.S. and Spain), and am comfortable living, studying and playing in both countries.  I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Catalan and am studying French.

In prior seasons, I played on academy teams for a Liga F professional team based in Barcelona.  I played on their Futbol 11 team, a girls team playing in the boys league, and the previous season on the Infantil A team.  My soccer /football experience in Spain started when I was 10 years old at Women's Soccer School in Barcelona where the focus was on ball possession, passing, small spaces, playing where you have numbers and ball handling under pressure. 

My first step onto the football / soccer field was in the U.S. and first club team was playing for the Chiefs and Rush Union (the Chiefs merged to form Rush Union) where I continue to maintain contact with my previous teams and was selected to play with the Georgia ODP 2023 team. This year I was selected by ODP Europe to play their HS team (2008,2009 & 2010) for the 2025-2026 season so you can see me play at ODP Europe events this year as well.  

I am pursuing the MYIB (International Baccalaureate) program at Benjamin Franklin International School, have a 3.74 grade point average (converted to a 4 point scale) and will graduate in 2028.  

Math is a strength and I was selected for honors math and represent my school in Math competitions.

2024-2025:

Fontsanta-Fatjó, C.D.  Played in: Division1 Femini Juvenil (U19) league

Tournament: SWIT cup finalist, April 2025.  6 games played, 5 cleanS

2023-2024:

Levante Las Planas, Barcelona, Spain.  Played in the Boys Infantil league.  This was one of 3 girls teams playing in the boys Infantil league in Barcelona.  The other girls teams are from FC Barcelona & RCD Espanyol. The team has allowed 18 goals against in 24 games, averaging 0.75 goals a game, helping the team achieve 3^rd place.

2022-2023:

Levante Las Planas, Playe in ghe Girls Infantil League on the club's Infantil A team.  Team ascended from 1st division to the new Preferente division (highest division top 16 teams in Catalunya).

2021-2022:

Women's Soccer School (WSS) Alevin A team ascended from Second Division to 1st Division.

2020-2021:

Transition from playing in Atlanta, U.S. to Barcelona Spain amid Covid. Half of the season played on WSS Alevin A team.
